Classes

Our Young Flyers programme offers classes in aerial hoop, aerial silks, and static trapeze, giving young people aged between 7-16 years old the chance to get some airtime. We find children this age love being upside-down and our job is to enable them to play and learn while upside-down! 

Through our sessions, Young Flyers will not only learn to fly, but in the process, gain better proprioceptive and kinaesthetic awareness, build cardiovascular and muscular strength, improve flexibility, increase joint mobility and develop better balance and coordination. The class emphasis at Flying Fantastic is to have fun while learning new skills, and to experience the power of being upside down!

Please note, some Young Flyer classes are for 7-11yo and others are for all aged 7-16!

Little Flyers

These fun, frantic and fantastically physical classes are aimed at 5-6 year olds and involve mixed aerial, alternating between sling, hoop and trapeze as well as some ground based circus skills such as acrobalance and juggling. The class will be a small group of 6, with an experienced teacher!

It is well known how good aerial training is for children. Aerial classes develop children’s creativity, social skills and enhance their motor dexterity. Whilst also improving their strength, stamina, balance, coordination and confidence in a safe and fun environment. A weekly class that can help with all of that? What's not to like!

Classes available in our Peckham.studios at 4:30pm - 5:15pm on Mondays
Bookings are for half terms blocs and trials are available for £15/class

Teen Flyers

Our regular class for the ‘not so young’ flyers. This skill based class teaches aerial hoop, silks and trapeze, as well as building strength, flexibility, coordination AND exercising all at the same time! Whether you are after an alternative way to exercise or a new and unusual skill; we’d love to get your young adult airborne! 
 
Teen Flyers is a perfect mix of an activity that is exciting, enjoyable and gets you fit without even feeling like you are doing a workout. There isn’t any other sport where you get to hang upside down in the air on a hoop, spin on a trapeze or tumble down a silk for an hour! The best part is that you don’t need any strength or flexibility to start, the whole point of aerial is to help you build these things.

Little Flyers

Aerial is a great way for your little flyers to work on basic motor skills, while exercising and having fun!  Aerial uses a lot of the same climbing instincts that we use as children, so we find that they tend to pick it up really fast, which can be a great confidence builder! 

Young Flyers

Young Flyers is a fantastic place to build better body and spacial awareness through aerial silks, hoop and trapeze. Every term, we watch children of all levels grow in confidence as they build social and team-work skills. 

Teen Flyers

Teen Flyers is a perfect mix of an activity that is exciting, enjoyable and gets you fit without even feeling like you are doing a workout.
