Children’s Aerial Classes, Workshops & Camps at Flying Fantastic

If your child loves climbing, spinning, performing or trying something completely different, Flying Fantastic offers a range of aerial classes, workshops and holiday camps designed to build confidence, creativity and strength in a fun and supportive environment.
From weekly term-time classes to themed holiday camps and family workshops, there are opportunities for children of all ages and experience levels to discover the excitement of aerial arts.

Term time aerial classes for your young and teen flyers

Our term-time classes are perfect for children who want to develop their aerial skills week by week. Across the term, flyers work on conditioning, flexibility, shapes, sequences and coordination while learning on silks, slings, hoop and static trapeze.
Classes are kept intentionally small, with a ratio of six flyers to one instructor, allowing every child to receive plenty of individual support as they progress. By the end of term, students take part in a mini showcase where they can share what they’ve learned with family and friends, before finishing with a final week packed full of aerial games and fun.
For children who are brand new to aerial, trial classes are available for £23 before booking the full term.

Please note that new bookings are only accepted during the first half of term so that all flyers can focus on progressions together during the second half.

Little Flyers

We also have a class especially for your little circus stars age 5-6 who love to climb and hang off things! In our 45 minute sessions, little flyers will explore a combination of aerial and floor work, developing co-ordination, strength and control through play-based learning on aerial hoop, trapeze and slings, as well as ground based activities like acrobalance and juggling.

Private tuition

For children looking for a more personalised experience, private lessons offer the chance to explore aerial in a way that’s completely tailored to them. Sessions can be arranged around preferred disciplines, goals and experience levels, with instructors selected to best suit each flyer.
Private lessons are available across a variety of apparatus, depending on availability, and are priced at £85 per hour for one-to-one sessions or £110 for two participants.

Half Term Workshops

Our half-term workshops are full-day aerial experiences designed for all levels, whether your child is a complete beginner or already loves being in the air. Throughout the day, flyers get the chance to try slings, silks, trapeze and hoop while learning exciting shapes, short sequences and aerial games in a relaxed and welcoming environment.

Seasonal Workshops

Every Halloween, Flying Fantastic transforms into a spooky aerial playground. Our themed Halloween camps combine circus skills with festive fun, featuring vampire drops on slings, flying owls in hoops and silky bats soaring through the air. It’s a playful and imaginative way for young flyers to celebrate the season while learning new skills.

Our Easter workshops bring another opportunity for children to enjoy a full day of aerial fun during the holidays. Flyers explore a mix of silks, slings, hoop and trapeze while building confidence, trying exciting movements and playing aerial games throughout the day.

Finally, come Christmas time, we have our Festive flying workshop! Tinsel-adorned trapezes, candy can hoops and all kinds of festive games to get your young flyers in a merry mood!
The workshops are open to all abilities and cost £95 for the day.

Family Workshops

For families wanting to experience aerial together, our family workshops offer the chance for everyone to get involved. Suitable for ages 4–104, these sessions include time on slings and trapezes as well as group acro activities where families can climb, balance and learn together.
Family workshops cost £25 per person, and adults should be entered as age 18 when booking.

Summer Camps

Our summer camps are one of the highlights of the year — a full week dedicated to circus and aerial fun. Alongside favourite apparatus such as hoop, silks, slings and trapeze, flyers also get the opportunity to explore specialist disciplines including Spanish web, aerial rope and aerial net.
The week is designed to create well-rounded young circus performers, with additional workshops in juggling, acro and handstands. At the end of camp, families are invited to watch a short showcase performance celebrating everything the children have worked on throughout the week.
This year’s camps take place in Peckham from Monday 27th July to Friday 31st, and at Union Street from Monday 3rd–7th August and Monday 17th–21st August, all running from 10:00–16:00.
No previous experience is needed to join any of our camps as the flyers will be grouped by level.

Birthday parties!

Looking for a birthday party that’s completely different from the usual soft play or bowling trip? Flying Fantastic’s aerial birthday parties give children the chance to celebrate circus-style — climbing, spinning and learning exciting aerial tricks with their friends in a safe and supportive environment.
Designed for complete beginners and suitable for children aged 7+, our parties are all about having fun, building confidence and trying something new together. No previous aerial experience is needed, and our experienced instructors make sure every guest feels comfortable getting airborne.
Once warmed up with fun aerial games, flyers move onto the apparatus for the main part of the session. Children will learn a selection of aerial moves and tricks across two apparatus, swapping halfway through the party to experience something different.
Groups work in small instructor-led teams to ensure every child gets plenty of time in the air and individual support throughout the session.
The standard party setup uses silks and trapeze, as these work brilliantly for all experience levels, but hoop and slings can also be requested. If your child has a favourite apparatus or would prefer to focus on one throughout the session, the party can be tailored to suit, just let us know!
There are plenty of opportunities for photos during the session, with time at the end for a special group picture featuring the birthday flyer front and centre.
Minimum age for parties is 7, and there’s no maximum age — aerial parties are just as fun for teenagers and adults too!

Group bookings

Flying Fantastic also offers bespoke children’s group bookings and workshops for schools, youth organisations, clubs and activity groups looking for a unique shared experience.
Each session is tailored around the age, experience level and goals of the group, whether that’s building confidence, encouraging creativity, trying circus skills for the first time or simply having a memorable day out together.
Our children’s group workshops are designed to be inclusive, supportive and highly engaging, helping participants develop:

• Coordination and body awareness
• Creativity and self-expression
• Teamwork and communication skills
• Trust and problem-solving

Flyers then rotate through aerial disciplines depending on the chosen package and group size, including Slings, Silks, Hoop & Static Trapeze.
Sessions are adapted to suit complete beginners through to more experienced young flyers, with instructors ensuring everyone feels supported and challenged at the appropriate level.
Flying Fantastic can create bespoke packages for:
