Beth Shum is a Chartered Physiotherapist (HCPC, MCSP) in UK and HK who is passionate about movements, flexibility and pain science.  As a former gymnast, aerialist, and cheerleader, Beth has come across countless amount of pain conditions and injuries from both herself and her athletic friends.  
She has always been passionate to support performers and her first opportunity to work with elite sports was with Team England Adaptive Ability Cheerleaders in 2019-2020. She then went on and completed the specialist Performing Arts Medicine MSc Programme at UCL to enhance her skills when working with elite performers and provide specialist health services to this population. Beth is now the physiotherapist for the National Centre for Circus Arts, the UK-only university degree programme in Circus.

Beth has run circus-centered injury prevention workshops with us in the past on our intensive courses and now we are joining forces to bring her invaluble up-to-date research and teachings to the rest of the Flying Fantastic community.
