Lynn began her circus training at the Circus Space, London (now NCCA) over 20 years ago. She did ballet when she was younger and was thinking about finding classes again when she chanced upon a photo and caption in a newspaper advertising classes at the Circus Space (now NCCA). Lynn went along for a Static Trapeze class and was hooked – Aerial has been a constant part of her life ever since. She’s performed her own acts in cabarets as a solo artist and also in ensemble pieces.
Lynn has trained in Swinging and Doubles Trapeze, Aerial Sling, Silks and Hoop, as well as Acrobalance and Tumbling, but her first love is Static Trapeze and Corde Lisse.
When describing her love of aerial, in her own words, ‘Aerial gives me a feeling of strength and freedom. I can’t imagine not doing aerial, it’s a constant challenge that feeds my creative bones. There are always new tricks to master, and new ways of teaching tricks to learn. Teaching adds a further dimension, sharing knowledge and seeing students develop is a great feeling.’
When not in the air, Lynn is also a freelance editor and writer. She enjoys Pilates, walking and is an avid reader – fiction, non-fiction, cereal packets… whatever is in front of her. She also writes fiction, mainly for her own amusement.
