These weekly 2 hour sessions will allow you to really get a grip and improve in acrobatics, mainly focussing on partner and group work but also including some handstands and tumbling - there really is something for everyone! Each session will include a conditioning routine which will develop throughout the course; this will improve the rate at which you are able to learn and perfect new tricks.
You will be introduced to being the base, flyer and (very importantly) the spotter and throughout the course will build on strength, flexibility, fitness, confidence and trust. Static and dynamic moves will be taught and this will include 2 highs, standing on hands, front and back balances, candlesticks and much more. You will also get to experience cartwheel hugs, sputniks, dragons and washing machines!
Oli and Elle began their acro partnership at Circomedia circus school in Bristol where they both specialised in acrobatics. They enjoy the fact that you work collaboratively to improve, and that your body is the equipment so you don't need anything fancy! Oli and Elle love to share their passion with students, instilling confidence and self-belief as well as great technique. They like to explore acrobatics as an art form, so that students feel able to be creative with their moves and can link tricks together.
This course is open to total beginners as well as students who already have some acrobatic experience. There is absolutely no requirement to bring a partner along with you, although you are more than welcome to!
Please note, this course has already started, but if you're interested, we do have a few spaces left and we can work out a pro rata rate for remaining classes on the course.
